Guest Services Host (Part-Time)

Job Description:

The Guest Services Host position is highly interactive with our guests in a dynamic and fun working environment. Located throughout the Museum, our host team provides excellent customer service through ticket & membership sales or while operating one of our exciting experiences. You’ll welcome our guests to the Museum at the ticketing desk, usher our guests into one of our theaters, operate a virtual reality experience, and more while setting the tone for a great Museum experience. You’ll even get to see an Infinity movie or Planetarium show in the process. How can you beat that?   

Job Class: Part Time
Hiring Range: $20.00/hour
Work Schedule: 3 days, 20 hours per week

Essential Duties

• Provides engaging and meaningful guest experiences through outstanding customer service and assistance at various Museum venues.
• Uses ticketing system for point of sale transactions, membership enrollment/renewal, and basic sales order.
• Ushers guests into the Infinity Theater: check tickets, distributes and collects glasses, provides customer service as needed in the theater.  
• Ushers guests into the Planetarium Theater: check tickets, runs show controls and provides service in the theater.  
• Operates Virtual Reality Experience: Orient guests to the experience, assist with VR headsets, engaging in basic technology troubleshooting as needed. 
• Provides a welcoming, safe and fun environment for our guests through outstanding service and guest assistance. 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required 
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and evenings
• 1 years’ experience in a fast paced service environment.

Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have

• Excellent customer service     
• Bilingual is a plus (Spanish/English) 
• Cash handling experience
