Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Relations Intern to assist our Government Affairs team in advancing our legislative and regulatory priorities. The intern will gain hands-on experience in public policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement by supporting ongoing research, communications, and administrative efforts related to government relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct policy research and draft briefing materials, policy summaries, and reports
- Support the planning and execution of advocacy events, hearings, and briefings
- Help manage contact databases, meeting notes, and other administrative tasks
- Draft memos, talking points, and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders
- Attend virtual or in-person meetings, webinars, or hearings as needed
- Collaborate with human resources, business development, and other departments as necessary
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct thorough research and present findings clearly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with policy tracking tools is a plus
- Professional demeanor and discretion in handling sensitive information
