Job Summary
Food Service I, will under direct supervision of the Site Principal and Food Service Manager, perform a variety of responsible tasks relating to the District’s Food Service Operation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Application of:
District policies and procedures as they apply; methods and practices of food service involving food preparation, serving and clean-up; operation of equipment used in a modern food preparation environment; Oral and written communication skills; Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy; proper methods of preparing, coding, serving, and sorting foods.
Ability to:
- Work confidentially
- See for purposes of reading printed matter and observing students
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels
- Lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, run and crawl
- Perform moderate physical exertion
- Lift 50 pounds
- Carry 25 pounds
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION:
- Perform a variety of food service tasks; interpret and apply rules and regulations as appropriate.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of school meal program in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly work area.
- Operate a variety of food-related equipment and machines.
