JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Food Runner at The Elmont plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring that food orders are accurately and efficiently delivered from the kitchen to the guests. The Food Runner works closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain smooth service flow and uphold high standards of presentation and hospitality.
REPORTS TO: Bar Manager
LOCATION: The Elmont
Pay: Hourly plus tips
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all food items are presented according to company standards and verify that orders are complete and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate order timing and ensure smooth service.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables as needed to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and work areas.
- Support the service team with additional tasks as needed to enhance the overall guest experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience as a Food Runner or in a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays of food for extended periods.
- Must be flexible and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is typically performed in the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs.
