The Finance Manager-Capital & Fixed Assets is responsible for overseeing the financial management and accounting activities related to fixed assets within the organization. This includes leading the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for Capital Expenditures. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and asset management. The Finance Manager-Capital & Fixed Assets will be responsible for accurately recording, tracking, and reporting on fixed assets, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
- Oversee the recording, reconciliation, and maintenance of fixed asset accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. Ensure accurate and timely posting of fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, & depreciation
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate fixed asset register, including all relevant information such as cost, useful life, location, & depreciation method. Conduct periodic physical asset verification and reconcile with the fixed asset register to identify discrepancies or potential issues
- Manage annual capital expenditure budget process and monthly forecasting process. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather data and assumptions to develop long-term capital asset plan that aligns with strategic objectives. Monitor actual fixed asset expenditures against budgeted / approved amounts. Provide timely reporting to Company management.
- Partner with IT to drive system enhancements and focus on continuous improvements that will impact overall business processes
- Drive high performance culture by providing guidance, direction, and developmental leadership to direct reports
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and potential assignment to special studies/teams to assist management in evaluating key opportunities for the company
Qualifications
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.
- EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- EXPERIENCE: 7 + years finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Prefer experience within Sales.
- Knowledge - Knowledge of financial processes; including modeling, control, analysis, reporting and budgeting. Proficiency in accounting principles, asset management, and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of depreciation methods and IFRS fixed asset accounting standards.
- Skills - Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Excel and Hyperion Essbase skills. Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Abilities - Collaborative abilities in building business partnerships. Attention to detail and accuracy, multi-tasking abilities and effectively manage priorities. Must be results-driven.

FINANCIAL SCOPE
- Give the anticipated budget the position will manage, and/or any revenue generation expectations for which the position will be responsible
- Fixed Asset balance in excess of $600M
- Capital Expenditures in excess of $70M annually
