Job Description:
Praetorian Standard, Inc is looking for a Facility Security Officer who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government regulatory requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and protecting classified and proprietary information. They will also be responsible for overseeing our current Level 2 Cyber Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program.
Primarily working remotely, the successful candidate will need to be detail-oriented, able to work independently and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They must have a solid background in industrial security and a proven track record of ensuring compliance and protecting sensitive information. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret facility clearance.
The FSO functions include:
- Manage complete oversight of PSI’s industrial security program
- Provide guidance and oversight to the AFSO
- Process both collateral and security personnel clearances
- Process Visit Requests
- Conduct security briefings and debriefings
- Maintain the Insider Threat Program
- Investigate and report security violations
- Submit incident reports
- Administer a security awareness program
- Provide required security training
- Conduct self-inspections
- Prepare for DCSA reviews
- Maintain security records for both personnel clearances and the facility clearance
- Perform duties in DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT, NCCS, ACCS and SPRS
- Coordinate with DCSA and other government agencies as needed
PSI currently maintains a Level 2 CMMC program that provides protection of Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). While PSI’s Information Technology (IT) company is responsible for security PSI’s information systems and networks, the FSO will oversee the entire program. CMMC duties include:
- Obtain working knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures related to CMMC as needed.
- Maintain and update documentation and evidence that meet CMMC requirements.
- Conduct self-assessments in coordination with PSI’s IT company
- Ensure required cybersecurity training is provided to all required personnel
- Stay current on CMMC program changes and evolving cybersecurity standards
- Update NIST and CMMC scores annually in SPRS
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top-Secret clearance
- 5 years’ experience as an FSO or Assistant FSO
- In-depth knowledge of 32 CFR 117, The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual
- FSO Certification for either possessing or non-possessing facilities (CDSE curriculum)
- Experienced user in DISS, NISS, NBIS and SWFT
- Exceptional communication skills
Desired Skills
- Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Industrial Security certifications such as ISP or SPed
- Experienced user with NCCS, ACCS and/or SPRS
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements
