Job Description:
Position Summary
The Epic Pharmacist Analyst is a three month contract and is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role serves as a liaison between healthcare providers, IT staff, and business stakeholders, ensuring a customer-centric experience. Acting as a communication hub, the Analyst coordinates IT activities based on user requirements within assigned areas. Must be Epic Willow Inpatient certified and Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Florida.
Primary Accountabilities

Understand pharmacy workflows, core functions, and processes in inpatient, ancillary, and/or ambulatory care settings.

Collaborate with clinical pharmacy end users to gather and define system requirements.

Design, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Epic applications.

Apply in-depth knowledge of Epic system functionality to implement new applications and modules.

Document business requirements, current and future state workflows, and custom build configurations.

Coordinate and participate in all phases of application testing during implementations and upgrades.

Research and resolve issues using internal and external resources as needed.

Provide go-live support, including availability during standard off-hours.

Lead small to medium-sized projects with minimal oversight. Develop key project artifacts including plans, issue logs, testing plans, and go-live strategies.

Participate in on-call support rotation for incidents occurring outside of business hours.

Engage in cross-training activities for personal development and to provide secondary application coverage.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Must meet Florida's annual continuing education requirements for licensure. -
Licensure:
Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Florida. -
Certification:
Epic Willow Inpatient certification (must be obtained within six months of hire). -
Work Experience:
At least four years of experience in pharmacy, informatics, or IT-related roles. -
