Position Summary:
The Onsite EMT is responsible for providing medical support to customer sites of all sizes to ensure the health and safety of all workers on site. The EMT will work closely with the medical support team and the client's safety department to maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
Essential Job Duties:
• Provide a "white glove" experience by delivering exceptional customer service as an onsite emergency medical technician. Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and attentiveness to ensure patients feel supported and cared for during medical emergencies.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism at all times, reflecting the mission, vision, and values of the company and embodying the qualities expected of medical professionals. Maintain a respectful and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Prioritize safety and efficiency by meticulously adhering to protocols and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, regularly inspect, and restock equipment, and ensure strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines. Strive for excellence in infection control, hygiene practices, and overall safety measures.
• Respond to and assess incidents or signs of illness immediately and determine the best course of action for each individual case, avoiding unnecessary off-site treatment, workers' compensation claims, lost time, and associated costs while administering proper necessary treatment.
• Provide all levels of first aid, track on-site injury and illness data with proprietary software, and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
• Participate in site safety meetings and programs, conduct pre-employment drug screening, and complete fire extinguisher inspections.
• Coordinate with local EMS agencies to develop site-specific emergency response plans, as applicable. Assessing patients' conditions and responsiveness to interventions.
• Assessing the nature and extent of emergency situations and need for additional assistance.
• Mitigating incidents by helping to control crowds, protecting valuables, and performing other duties.
• Administering Basic Life Support and/or First Aid
• Maintaining stations, and communication and medical equipment.
• Completing patient care reports and other documentation.
• Complying with applicable policies and procedures, SOPs, and medical protocols.
