Job Summary
As the Portfolio Director, Transformation & Agile Delivery, you’ll be a critical partner to the COO, CIO, VP of Transformation, and VP of Application Development, leading governance and execution across our strategic and business-as-usual (BAU) portfolios. In this highly visible leadership role, you will:
- Orchestrate planning, execution, and value realization of enterprise transformation initiatives and functional-specific projects.
- Partner with executive leadership to mature Agile, PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle), and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices across the organization.
- Build and lead a scalable governance model that ensures timely delivery, quality outcomes, and strategic alignment across multiple portfolios.
- Coordinate digital, regulatory, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives across business and technical teams.
- Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Smartsheets, Jira) to communicate progress, risks, and resource utilization.
- Lead cross-functional intake processes, ensuring proper scoping, resourcing, and stakeholder engagement from concept to completion.
- Manage resource forecasting and allocation across teams and escalate constraints to protect delivery timelines.
- Serve as project or program lead for high-visibility initiatives, ensuring disciplined execution with measurable business value.
- Champion change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement strategies across portfolios.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience leading portfolios, programs, and cross-functional projects in a healthcare, insurance, or regulated environment.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring teams and influencing at the executive level.
- Bachelor’s degree required; PMI/PMP certification strongly preferred. SAFe Program Consultant or ICAgile Certified Professional in Agility is a plus.
- Proven expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and implementing Agile in matrixed, compliance-driven organizations.
- Proficient in SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and enterprise portfolio management tools such as Smartsheets, Jira, MS Project, and Visio.
- Exceptional skills in communication, organization, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear strategies and decisions.
- Experience developing change management and training plans to support project adoption and sustainability.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.
Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
