Mission of the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Growth Marketing to drive new customer acquisition and optimize media efficiency across our two brands, Curology & Agency. This highly analytical and data-driven leader will be responsible for managing a $60M+ media budget across multiple paid channels, including Meta, Google, TikTok and other emerging platforms.
This role requires a performance-driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a deep understanding of attribution modeling and first-party data strategies, and can effectively manage internal teams and external agency partners.
Essential Duties and Job Function
Paid Media Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a customer acquisition strategy that aligns with overall business goals and revenue targets.
- Own the day-to-day management of paid media channels across Meta, TikTok, Google, affiliate marketing, display and CTV/audio.
- Manage media pacing and tactical allocation, ensuring budget efficiency and goal attainment.
- Our internal team directly manages media buying for Meta and TikTok, ensuring in-house expertise and agility in campaign execution.
- Identify, test, and scale new customer acquisition channels to drive sustainable growth.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align media strategy with brand positioning and promotional calendar.
Data-Driven Performance Optimization
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize key KPIs (LTV, CAC payback, CPC, Conversion, CPM) to improve efficiency and scale.
- Work closely with the data science & analytics team to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity across platforms.
- Conduct deep quantitative analysis to inform media mix modeling, creative strategy, and audience segmentation.
- Ensure robust tracking and attribution models are in place, leveraging first-party data and incrementality testing.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
- Own budgeting and pacing for a $60M+ annual media spend, ensuring efficient allocation across channels.
- Partner with the Director of Strategic Finance to forecast and scenario-plan media investments.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports to senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Agency & Partner Management
- Lead and manage multiple external agencies across Google, CTV, and affiliates to ensure maximum performance.
- Collaborate with Meta & TikTok account reps to stay ahead of platform updates, beta programs, and best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with ad tech partners and attribution vendors to optimize tracking and insights.
Internal Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a high-performing growth marketing team, providing strategic direction and professional development.
- Partner with Creative, Brand, Product, and Influencer Marketing teams to optimize messaging, landing pages, and media assets.
- Identify process efficiencies to streamline cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment on growth initiatives.
