Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Deputy Editor to join our dynamic team developing a leading-edge clinical decision support (CDS) solution for healthcare providers. The Deputy Editor will play a pivotal role in ensuring our content remains current, clinically accurate, and comprehensive by overseeing literature surveillance and managing the recruitment and engagement of board-certified subspecialty editors.
- Part-time: approximately 10–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
- Long-term engagement preferred.
What You'll Do
- Conduct continuous surveillance of peer-reviewed literature, clinical guidelines, and relevant publications to identify impactful new findings and evolving standards of care.
- Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief to prioritize topics for updates based on clinical relevance and evidence quality.
- Lead and execute outreach and recruitment of board-certified subspecialty experts to join the editorial board or contribute to content development.
- Vet candidates for editorial roles, ensuring alignment with content quality standards and clinical expertise.
- Support editorial operations, including tracking literature reviews, editor assignments, and deadlines.
- Review and provide editorial input on content drafts, summaries, and annotations as needed.
- Maintain alignment with internal processes and publication standards, including adherence to evidence-based methodologies.
- Collaborate with clinical informatics, product, and content teams to ensure timely integration of editorial insights into the CDS platform.
About You
- Advanced clinical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) with board certification required.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical editing, medical publishing, or clinical decision support preferred.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based medicine, clinical research methodology, and medical literature evaluation.
- Proven ability to engage and manage clinician collaborators and subject matter experts.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a remote and tech-enabled environment.
- Experience with literature surveillance tools (e.g., PubMed, Embase), reference management software, and CMS/editorial platforms a plus.
