Cosmos DBA

CTG is seeking to fill a Cosmos DBA opening for our client in Atlanta, GA.

Location: Remote
Duration: 9 months

W2 only No C2C

Duties:

• Administer and maintain Azure Cosmos DB databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

• Design and implement Cosmos DB architecture solutions to support business needs and scalability.

• Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize database health and availability.

• Configure and manage security settings, access controls, and compliance standards within Cosmos DB.

• Automate administrative tasks and develop scripts for routine operations and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and support application performance.

• Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and best practices.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in Cosmos DB Architecture, including multi-model support and partitioning strategies.

• Proficient in Security configuration, Monitoring, Performance Tuning, and Automation within Cosmos DB environments.

• Familiarity with Query Optimization techniques and database compliance standards is a plus.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and propose effective solutions.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with at least 2 years focused on Cosmos DB.

• Hands-on experience managing large-scale, cloud-based databases in production environments.

• Proven track record in implementing secure and performant database solutions in Azure.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $40/hr to $47/hr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
