Summer Internship: Commercial Laundry Design Intern (Remote)About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled student for a full-time remote summer internship with our Commercial Laundry Design team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in specialized facility design while working with industry professionals.
Role Overview
As a Commercial Laundry Design Intern, you will collaborate with our design team to develop efficient and functional laundromat layouts using AutoCAD software. This remote position allows you to contribute to real-world commercial projects while developing valuable technical skills in a growing industry.
Internship Details
- Duration: 10-12 weeks (Summer 2025)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-time)
- Location: Fully remote

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify laundromat floor plans and equipment layouts using AutoCAD
- Assist in optimizing space utilization and workflow efficiency in commercial laundry designs
- Help prepare technical drawings and specifications for client review
- Collaborate with team members to solve design challenges
- Research industry standards, equipment specifications, and compliance requirements
- Support documentation and project management processes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles
- Ability to read and interpret building plans
- Excellent spatial reasoning skills
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for remote work
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with commercial space design
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) systems
- Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements
- Experience with additional design software (Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
- Interest in facilities management or commercial equipment layout
