The Collateral Specialist is part of the Mortgage Warehouse Lending team, which provides short-term bridge financing for Independent Mortgage Bankers. In this client-facing role, you will ensure collateral is properly inventoried and shipped to investors per clients' direction.
What You’ll Do

Intake of collateral: Receive and open deliveries from UPS and FedEx, scan documents from packages, entering the received date in the system

Fulfillment: Ship the collateral (original Note) per client direction (Side Letter Agreement) to an end investor who will acquire the Note; includes creating the bailee letter, a UPS or FedEx shipping label, and scanning all documents and collateral being shipped

Monitoring: Intake of incoming Notes; input into the system; inventory; process request to ship the Notes. Weekly reporting and status updates for Wet Notes (original note not yet received by the Bank)

Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fraud prevention
Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in an office or operations environment which services and supports a banking line of business

Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to complete a high volume of tasks with a sense of urgency and within assigned service levels

Strong written and oral communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Compensation
The estimated pay range for this role is $20.19 - $26.44 per hour, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
