Job Description:
We’re looking for a Client Partner to own and grow strategic relationships across 3–5 of our most important commerce clients — many of whom are building on Shopify. You’ll be the trusted advisor to their C-suite, uncovering product opportunities, identifying high-impact initiatives, and helping them navigate the complexities of scaling world-class commerce experiences.
You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams (design, engineering, product, and leadership) and externally with client stakeholders to identify, shape, and guide new project opportunities. While this isn’t a quota-carrying sales role, you will help drive growth by influencing roadmap decisions, surfacing upsell opportunities, and crafting solutions that align with client goals.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives at the intersection of product, relationships, and strategic growth.
What You’ll Do

Own and nurture relationships with 3–5 strategic commerce clients

Build trusted partnerships with client C-level stakeholders and decision-makers

Identify and shape new project opportunities that align with client goals and Lazer’s capabilities

Act as a strategic thought partner — helping clients design world-class commerce experiences

Work with internal teams to scope, estimate, and propose new initiatives

Navigate sales motions in complex organizations (e.g., approvals, legal, budgeting)

Help ensure smooth transitions between pre-sale and delivery teams

Provide visibility into account health, risks, and growth opportunities
What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in client-facing roles across product, consulting, or growth

Background in product management or product strategy, with comfort in technical conversations

Experience navigating enterprise sales processes or leading strategic accounts

Exceptional relationship-building skills with executive stakeholders

Strong commercial instincts — you can spot, shape, and articulate opportunities clearly

Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams

Excellent communication and storytelling skills

Highly organized and able to juggle multiple accounts and stakeholders
Nice to Have

Experience working with Shopify or other commerce platforms

Previous roles in software engineering or product design

Experience at a digital consultancy, product studio, or agency environment

Familiarity with enterprise SaaS, headless commerce, or composable architecture
