What you’ll be doing!
The Anesthesia Charge Poster is responsible for reviewing and posting anesthesia charges to ensure accurate and timely billing for services provided. This position involves working closely with the anesthesia billing and coding departments to ensure that all relevant charges are properly documented and billed and requires a solid understanding of anesthesia procedures and charge department workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and post-anesthesia charges accurately and efficiently based on CPT codes by the coding team and as documented by the anesthesia providers
- Verify the completeness of charge documents and resolve any discrepancies or missing information
- Work with coding and charge department leadership to clarify any charge-related questions or issues
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits and other compliance activities
- Generate missing documentation for client deliverables
- Support the anesthesia billing team in streamlining processes and improving accuracy
