Job Description:
Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital, a part of Fairview Health Services, is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its growing Anesthesiology department. Grand Itasca is a fully integrated multi-specialty clinic and hospital located in Northern Minnesota.
POSITION: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Casual FTE
WORK SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings

Practice Opportunity
Grand Itasca currently employs six full-time CRNAs to cover general surgery, OB/Gyn, orthopedics, urology, spine, dental and endoscopies.
CRNA responsibilities include:
- Pre-anesthetic patient evaluations
- Selection of anesthetic agents and techniques
- Insertion of intravenous catheters, invasive monitoring catheters, endotracheal intubation and extubation
- Perform arterial punctures for interpretation of arterial blood gases
- Monitor and manage patient's physical response to anesthetic
- Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks
- Perform neuraxial anesthesia
- Epidural/intrathecal placement for OB
- Respond to emergencies throughout the hospital
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certified by NBCRNA
- Licensed in State of MN
- Previous experience preferred, however new graduate considered
