Job Description:
Informa is seeking a Cash Applications Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing cash collection and managing debt effectively.
About the Role
You'll serve as the primary liaison between our external partners and Informa's local finance and commercial teams. Your focus will be on resolving cash collection and debt management issues promptly, ensuring smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Management:
- Process weekly unapplied cash assignments from our external partners
- Manage accounts receivable collections
- Monitor event aging reports and address collection risks
- Prepare and present monthly Aged Debt Status reports for events
- Event Support:
- Attend events for on-site collections when necessary
- Order Management System (OMS):
- Handle weekly escalated cases from our external partners
- Participate in monthly meetings, reporting on extended overdue accounts
- Billing and Credit Control:
- Facilitate communication between local teams and our external partners for billing queries
- Assess customer payment risks and implement credit holds in relevant systems
- Reconcile weekly attendee revenue across various payment methods
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with commercial teams on litigation and advanced collection strategies
- Coordinate with local teams for bad debt write-offs and sales credits approval
- Support integration processes during new entity acquisitions
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and recommend ways to enhance our financial processes
- Assist with the escheatment process, including customer outreach and query resolution
Qualifications
- 3+ years Cash Applications experience
- Detailed credit management experience
- Ability to meet deadlines in a multitasking environment
- Dependable – takes responsibility for own actions and keeps commitments
- Service driven and customer focused
- Willingness to take on additional tasks when required
- Excellent communication skills to work with clients and internal teams
- Willingness to travel to events to collect payments in person
- Excellent problem solving skills to resolve billing issues

The pay range for this position is $22-$28 / hour depending on experience.
