IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team!  We are currently seeking a Cafe Assistant in our Quad Cities office. As the Café Assistant will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty coffee, other beverages, and food items to IMEG 623 Café patrons. This is a part time position that has availability Monday- Fridays.

Principal Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; customizes orders as requested

• Prepares and serves foods and baked goods including sandwiches, salads, wraps, cookies, soups, along with in-house catering and deliveries

• Receives and processes customer payments, run register and handle cash balances.

• Stocks supplies or retail products, inventory, and orders as directed

• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas

• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas

• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices

• Ability to manage multiple orders while multitasking other aspects of the café

• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly

Education and Experience

• Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures

• Sponsorship is not available for this position

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and lift objects

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times

• Must be available to work early mornings and day shift

• Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance

Salary Range $16.50-$17.50. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
