The Business Systems Analyst will solicit, understand, and document business requirements, processes and workflows developing written and visual depictions. This includes understanding, documenting business processes through interviews with stakeholders. The analyst elicits, compiles and documents user requirements, translating them into functional requirements for technology solutions, enhancing sustainability and delivering maximum return on investment. Responsibilities include data analysis, mapping, and visualization, working closely with programming and architecture staff in designing solutions and conducting gap analysis.
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvement, and elicit requirements for change.
- Conduct interviews to gather user requirements through workshops, questionnaires, surveys, etc.
- Conduct data analysis and develop business requirements while assisting in prioritization.
- Prepare business cases and assist in interpreting user requirements into feasible options.
- Deliver precise functional specifications including workflow, business rules, and data mapping.
Skills Qualifications
Required:
- Experience working with IT staff on complex projects
- Strong technical background
- Data analysis and presentation skills
Preferred:
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- CCBA or CBAP certification preferred
Authorization to work in the United States is required.
