Job Description:
The Business Analyst provides critical analytical support to business operations by conducting research, gathering and reporting data, and developing and interpreting policies and procedures. This role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and translating operational requirements into system implementations and business process improvements—delivering effective, on-time, and within-budget solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to identify trends, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities; develop actionable plans to address them.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand needs and recommend capability solutions.
- Conduct system checkouts and testing for implementations, builds, and periodic releases.
- Contribute to project planning, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases.
- Prepare written reports and deliver presentations summarizing project goals, findings, and recommendations.
- Communicate with project teams and staff to align on objectives and ensure progress.
- Develop scope statements to support change management best practices in partnership with business sponsors.
- Create case scenarios to inform the development of new or enhanced systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate across teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of structured, data-driven analysis techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Power BI.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 19. $63,700 - $133,500
