Job Description:
- Provides evidence based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team.
- Also provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.
- Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
- Hours: 3 full 8 hour days on Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday and Half day on Fridays
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year supervised post masters experience; OR Master's degree in Social Work with two years post Master's experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.
- CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR Licensed Master's in Social Work.
Preferred Skills
- Graduated from an accredited university/college with a master's degree social work, and fully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan (passed their State of MI MSW Licensure exam).
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience providing individual, group & family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21 and their families.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective behavioral health care plans.
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary/integrated team; either in a school environment, outpatient behavioral health setting and/or primary care setting with high-risk patients/families.
- The skill set to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic integrated team, with excellent organization skills.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional behavioral health services; to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other personnel.
