F&B- Beach Bru Barista/Bartender

General Position Summary:

Assists in the daily operation of the Beach Brew Coffee & Bar, including daily tasks, customer service and other activities related to the operation of the espresso venue & bar. Mixes drinks for server’s orders and guests.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Provides spectacular service to all customers
• Opens and closes the espresso/bar venue
• Ensures all drink orders are prepared in a timely and efficient manner
• Mixes drink orders for guests and server’s orders
• Completes accurate cash transactions
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area
• Promotes core values and actively practices customer service standards

Secondary Functions:

• Ability to interact with all guests and employees in a positive and uplifting manner
• Ability to take and deliver food orders to guests dining in the cafe
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and demonstrates ability to share knowledge with guests
• Ability to operate the point-of-sale system and complete accurate transactions
• Monitors inventory, stocks supply and advises management of supply needs
• Other duties as assigned by Restaurant or Bar Supervisor

Specific Job Skills:

• Must be 21 years of age Experienced in providing spectacular service
• Tips training, Food Workers Card
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a number of people at one time
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Ability to work as a member of a team and/or independently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or GED required. One (1) year experience working in food /bar service, preferred or demonstrated knowledge of fast-paced service venues. Ability to obtain a TIPS card Food Worker’s Card. Must possess a general knowledge of drink preparation and recipes.

Job Conditions:

Working conditions include working in an enclosed setting. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions or working alone. Requires being available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Manual dexterity for use of cash registers and computers. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
