Job Description:
Location: This position may be performed remotely, but requires the flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
The Opportunity
The Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development plays a key role in the design, execution, and oversight of clinical trials supporting the development of innovative therapeutics in epilepsy (pediatric and adult). This position provides strategic and scientific leadership across all phases of clinical development, working cross-functionally with regulatory, safety, clinical operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful trial execution and regulatory submission.
Primary Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and execution of clinical strategy and clinical development plans for assigned programs.
- Provide medical and scientific leadership for clinical trials, including protocol design, medical monitoring, and data interpretation.
- Serve as a medical lead on cross-functional clinical study teams.
- Review and author clinical documents including protocols, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, and regulatory submissions (INDs, NDAs, etc.).
- Monitor and ensure patient safety during studies in collaboration with pharmacovigilance.
- Assist with the selection and management of clinical trial sites and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Participate in the preparation of regulatory documents and support interactions with global health authorities.
- Review and analyze emerging data from ongoing studies and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Present clinical study results internally and externally at investigator meetings, advisory boards, and scientific conferences.
- Contribute medical leadership and guidance to business development efforts
Qualifications and Key Success Factors
- Medical Doctor (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), Ph.D. or non-US equivalent of M.D./Ph.D. Specialty training in neurology and epilepsy is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years of clinical trial experience, with clinical development experience in neuroscience being highly desirable (fellowship, residency, or academic research may count toward experience depending on role).
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodology, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with early- to late-phase clinical trials preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to analyze complex data and present scientific information clearly and effectively.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

To round out our world-class total rewards package, we provide annualized base salary compensation in the range listed below. Final salary range may be modified commensurate with job level, education, and experience.
