Brown & Brown is seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our growing Surety team! This is a fully remote role.
Working under the guidance of a Team Lead or Senior Account Manager, the Surety Associate Account Manager gains experience by handling day-to-day customer inquiries and supporting senior colleagues with routine tasks. They develop crucial customer relationships and business insight to effectively present client needs to surety markets, all while prioritizing accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
How You Will Contribute:

Gather and compile customer information to prepare new bond submissions for existing accounts with surety companies.

Adhere to Brown & Brown's compliance standards and procedures, including meticulous documentation, timely responses, and professional conduct.

Execute bonds under Power of Attorney for surety companies.

Prepare and submit final bond documentation to surety companies.

Manage bond renewals and generate invoices.

Maintain and update surety files to ensure ongoing underwriting compliance.

Review bonds for accuracy and completeness.

Respond promptly to customers and carrier inquiries via email and phone.

Process rider and cancellation requests efficiently.

Independently manage a portfolio of approximately 15-25 smaller surety accounts from inception to completion (up to $500k total revenue, subject to volume and account type).

Provide support to Account Managers and Senior Account Managers with their daily tasks.

Participate in training and development activities to maintain current skills and licensing.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all processed information.

Perform duties both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Undertake other assigned duties and special projects.
Licenses and Certifications:

Must have and maintain a current Property and Casualty License. Recommended engagement in a Surety Association or related industry group.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the surety field or at least three (3) years of comparable experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Working knowledge of various bond types, relevant legislation, rules, and regulations.

Familiarity with contract fundamentals and provisions.

Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 applications

Experience with Erlon, AMS360 and ImageRight is preferred or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software.
