Description
This Accounts Payable Specialist position will serve as a key individual supporting the Accounting Department. This position reports directly to the Controller.
This individual will be responsible for assisting with AP invoice entry including GL coding. This is a full time, temporary position with an initial 3 month term and possibility for extension.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Retrieve invoices from general AP inbox.
- Assist with AP invoice entry including GL coding.
- Respond to vendor requests.
- Ad hoc and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in finance or accounting in manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, as well as willingness to accept and task ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment.
- Additional requirements include a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, mPowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task with moderate supervision. Experience with ERP Accounting system is a plus.
