Analytics/BI Manager Job Summary:

Pompeian Olive Oil is actively recruiting for a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, M Code scripting, SQL, “data curiosity” and Power BI integrations with SharePoint Online. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive data-driven decision-making. This role is remote with 25% travel to Baltimore, HQ as needed for business and will report to the Director of Business Analytics.

Analytics/BI Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including relevant certifications
• Proven expertise in data modeling, Power Query, M Code, VBA, SQL, DAX, and Python (Pandas and R is a plus)
• Experience integrating Power BI with SharePoint Online and a strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Analytics/BI Manager Pay & Perks:

• Starting range is 110-135K with opportunities for advancement

Analytics/BI Manager Responsibilities:

Power BI Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements
• Implement advanced Power BI features such as custom visuals, calculated measures, and parameterized reports
• Build and maintain robust data models to support efficient and scalable reporting solutions
• Certified data pipelines and incremental refresh processes

M Code Expertise

• Create and optimize M Code scripts (ETL) for advanced data transformations within Power Query
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data transformation issues

Data Warehouse/SQL

• Monitor, manage, and develop SQL Azure Data Pipelines to support reporting needs
• Ensure data integrity, quality and establish methodologies to ensure accuracy
• Analysis of data, context and providing recommendations is a high priority

Cross-Department Consulting

• Act as an internal consultant, working across departments to identify reporting needs and develop analytics solutions
• Provide training and support to end-users to maximize adoption and effective use of analytics tools

SharePoint Integration

• Integrate Power BI reports and dashboards with SharePoint Online to enhance collaboration and accessibility
• Develop workflows and ensure seamless connectivity between Power BI and SharePoint resources

Quality & Governance

• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data within the reporting environment
• Adhere to established data governance policies and best practices
• Ensure all projects are compliant with environmental regulations and environmental goals
• Performs duties per Pompeian’s mission, goals, and core values

Support Help Desk System

• Monitor and manage “in focus” help desk request and solutions

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with the latest developments in Power BI, data modeling, and related technologies
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and systems
• AI/ML implementation experience
• Data democratization
