Credentials: BS in Computer Science, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Software Engineering, related experience

What you'll do
You will be an integral part of a software scrum team dedicated to creating and scaling APIs that serve residential and mobility customers across the globe and help improve our customer streaming experience. This work allows Viasat to efficiently deliver streaming content. You will be focused on creating and enhancing the Cotent Delivery Platform's operational analytics, reporting, and monitoring to help drive data based development decisions.
The day-to-day
- Designing and delivering features bi-weekly to help manage streaming content
- Work in an Agile environment within a talented 3-9 person scrum team
- Build on top of an operational analytics platform and support statistical long term analytics tools.
- Production support in a DevOps environment
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building operational reporting dashboards
- Skilled in structuring and optimizing data for efficient querying in real-time scenarios
- Experience with a modern development workflow including version control, unit testing, functional testing and code reviews
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, and ability to work with remote team members across time zones
- Dedication to code quality, continuous automation, and operational excellence
- Experience in a DevOps environment - operational support for live services and application frameworks
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related experience
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- US Citizenship required
