Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Medusind will manage all aspects of accounts receivable for assigned clients. Candidates should have a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and two years of patient accounting experience.
Requirements:
Technology: Excel, Outlook, Word
Hard Skills: Knowledge of CPT codes, HCPCS codes, ICD-10 coding, CMS 1500 forms
Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent, CMRS, CPB Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist or Certified Professional Biller preferred
Experience: 2 years of patient accounting experience including utilization of an electronic billing system, Experience in radiation oncology is a plus

The primary responsibility of the Accounts Receivable Specialist is to actively and efficiently work all areas of accounts receivable of assigned clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Actively review, prepare and submit insurance refund requests and account adjustments.
- Review, prepare and submit claims to third party payers (primary and secondary) according to established policies and procedures.
- Ensure all corporate guidelines are maintained and practiced daily.
- Appeals, denials and insurance correspondence.
- Follow up with accounts receivable and respond to telephone inquiries from patients, assisting with payment arrangements when necessary.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and external contacts.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Work necessary reports associated with monthly patient statements and denials.
