Job Description:
As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator here at Career.io, you'll own a book of accounts while working in a fast-paced environment, primarily supporting our Collections needs. You’ll balance daily and month-end accounts receivable to general ledger balances and investigate outstanding invoices, making collection calls, negotiating payment terms, and processing liens for collections, when necessary.
This is a 100% remote/work-from-home role. This is a part-time role, estimated 20 hours/week.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for accounts receivable collections, communicating with customers about payment confirmations, billing discrepancies, and questions; working with the customer care department to resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with Careerminds leadership and the accounting manager regarding collections progress
- Processing Customer Credit Card Payments
- Review Billing records to research double pay issues or billing errors that cause a delay in payment
- Collect on all open AR
- Communicating with customers and internal staff to resolve invoice dispute issues.
- Monitoring the credit department email inbox
- Other AR projects as requested by the Manager
THE MUST-HAVES
- 1-3 years’ experience in collections processes and A/R cycle
- High level of motivation, strong work ethic and ability to prioritize
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams/departments
THE NICE-TO-HAVES
- Excellent aptitude with Math and Excel (Equations, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Basic understanding of the principles of Finance and Accounting
