Job Description:
The Account Development Specialist is responsible for supporting new and existing customers through referral management, cold calling/prospecting within the assigned geographic territory, and working with interdepartmental teams to identify additional sales opportunities. This individual will work closely with a group of Account Managers in conjunction with the Area Sales Director to ensure all opportunities and key metrics are achieved within their respective coverage areas. In order to be successful in this role, this Account Development Specialist will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, along with strong interpersonal communication skills. This role is 75% Inside Sales and 25% Sales Support. This position is fully remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Sales Initiatives – Account Management:
• Support Account Managers with cold calls/prospecting.
• Utilizing HMS data, establish initial connections with non-referral sources.
• Utilize on-line platforms to connect with potential new referral partners.
• Coordinate with leadership to establish re-occurring reporting/KPIs.
• Support with presentation deck development for sales team use.
-Reconnect Program:
• Support the Reconnect Program as needed, per current Practice guidelines and procedures.
-Sales Support:
• Provide patient info and basic demographics
• Referral/case status – overseeing the receipt of referral to assignment including referral source notification of patient refusals.
• Work with Referral Source Management team to correct basic data errors (i.e: region, referral source, place of service)
• E-faxing with Practice-selected technology to communicate with referral sources (ex: non-admission notifications, hold
time notifications, etc.)
• Participate in the resolution of open issues, on as as-needed basis.
• Support regional referral source communication as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with on-line tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, a plus.
