.NET Programmer

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a .NET Programmer. This role is a fully remote opportunity, but candidates should reside in the Eastern Time Zone.

Position Overview

As a .NET Programmer, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of a cloud-hosted, web-based application. You will work closely with the project team, leveraging .NET technologies and SQL Server to build scalable, high-performing solutions. The role involves both new feature development and application optimization, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain .NET-based applications, with an emphasis on SQL Server integration and cloud hosting.

• Design, implement, and test new features within the web application.

• Optimize application performance by conducting profiling and tuning SQL queries.

• Participate in agile sprint cycles, including planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.

• Write unit tests and ensure application quality through automated testing tools.

• Assist in the migration of applications to cloud environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience as a .NET Programmer, with expertise in .NET Framework and/or .NET Core.

• Strong proficiency with SQL Server, including query optimization and database design.

• Experience developing and deploying cloud-based applications.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

• Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).

Preferred Experience

• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-hosted application development.

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.

• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
