Many companies will give you welcome bonuses to entice you into using their services, and we’ve found generous signup deals with apps and websites offering paid surveys, passive earning opportunities, cashback on shopping, online banking, investment opportunities, and more.
01. Can I really get signup bonuses instantly?
Yes, you can get signup bonuses instantly, but there’s usually a catch.
With many of the offers on our list, you’ll get an immediate bonus in the form of points, cash back, or in-app rewards, for example, when you join a platform. However, you’ll then have to meet additional requirements before you can access your cash or other rewards, such as gift cards.
These additional requirements and other delays (e.g., processing times) mean that you can’t usually get payments on the spot. For most platforms on this list, it will effectively take a few days or weeks to claim bonuses (although a few platforms might allow you to claim within a few hours if you’re lucky).
Nonetheless, these bonuses are usually still worthwhile, and patience often pays off, since the biggest bonuses involve the longest waits, in most cases.
Read on to find out more about where to sign up for (almost) instant rewards.
02. The top 25 platforms or services with (almost) instant signup bonuses
These apps, websites, and services offer signup bonuses in the form of cash, gift cards, crypto, investments, and other rewards.
Microtasking and GPT platforms
The apps and websites on this list can be described as microtasking or GPT (get paid to) platforms. They feature a variety of quick and easy tasks you can complete to earn free cash, gift cards, or other rewards. This type of earning is often called microtasking, and it’s a great way to make small amounts of cash fast.
The microtasking and GPT platforms on this list offer signup bonuses up to $250, although you’ll usually be looking at bonus amounts closer to a few dollars.
1. Freecash
Freecash is a popular GPT platform that includes an app for Android devices and a website. There’s no app for iOS devices (iPads and iPhones), although you may be able to download iOS apps from the website to earn rewards.
Users can earn Freecash rewards for:
- Completing surveys
- Downloading apps
- Signing up for websites
- Signing up for other types of offers
- Playing games on your phone
- Watching videos and ads
The welcome bonus situation with Freecash is a bit complicated, as the potential bonus amount will depend on various factors (which Freecash doesn’t explain very clearly). If you get a bonus, it will be between $0.05 and $250, but you’re more likely to get something at the lower end of that range. Similarly, the minimum withdrawal amount will vary. 1
2. InboxDollars
InboxDollars is a very popular microtasking or GPT platform that features a wide array of tasks you can complete to earn rewards in the form of cash (paid via PayPal or virtual prepaid cards) or gift cards.

User Experience
3.5This site has a wide variety of tasks, but you might struggle to qualify for their surveys.
The Verdict
When you join InboxDollars, you can play games, take surveys, and complete other tasks to earn money. The site offers a better hourly rate than most of its competitors pay.

There are also many more ways to earn. Surveys are usually the most lucrative earning opportunity, although when we used this platform, we struggled to qualify for surveys.
InboxDollars gives you a generous $5 bonus for joining the platform. However, you need to accumulate $15 of rewards before you can withdraw for the first time.
3. OpinionInn
OpinionInn is a platform you can use to earn money by completing surveys. It doesn’t have games, videos, offer signups, or other nonsurvey microtasks like those you can find on InboxDollars or Freecash.

However, OpinionInn has one of the best signup bonuses we’ve seen, as you’re guaranteed $10 in rewards when you join as a new user.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to reach a relatively high minimum threshold compared with many similar GPT and microtasking platforms, as you’ll need $25 worth of rewards before you can withdraw anything.
Once you reach this slightly daunting threshold, you can redeem your rewards as cash in your PayPal account.

The first time you cash out on PointClub, you must do so via a check that they mail to you (meaning that this process will probably take at least a few days). After the first time, you’ll be able to redeem your rewards for cash paid via PayPal or check. Alternatively, you can redeem via gift cards from the likes of:
- Amazon

5. Prime Opinion
Prime Opinion is another survey-focused platform promising “reliable and quick earnings” for survey takers.

Another great feature of this platform is that it has a broad selection of options for getting paid. We were able to choose from several cash payment options (with charity donations also available as a payout method).

7. MyPoints
MyPoints is another platform from the same people that run InboxDollars—namely, a company called Prodege. Like InboxDollars, MyPoints has a wide range of tasks you can complete to earn rewards, including surveys, games, offers, and more (with surveys usually being the best earning opportunity).

As with the other Prodege platforms, Swagbucks allows you to redeem rewards in the form of PayPal cash, virtual prepaid cards, or gift cards.
Swagbucks says that, when you join the platform, you get a $5 sign-up bonus plus a $10 “Swag Up.” 2 This Swag Up is a bonus you get when you spend at least $25 purchasing something via Swagbucks, so it’s more like a discount than a real bonus.
When we used Swagbucks, we only received $2.50 worth of bonus rewards during the signup process, so Swagbucks may not have the same welcome bonuses it previously offered any longer.
Passive earning apps with instant signup bonuses
Passive earning apps certainly sound like a great way to make money, and the platforms on this list have the additional advantage that they give you a bonus just for signing up.
9. Honeygain
Honeygain is arguably the most famous passive earning app around, allowing you to earn rewards by sharing your internet connection (i.e., your bandwidth).

To get you started, Honeygain promises you a generous $3 bonus when you sign up. There are also various types of bonuses available for friend referrals.
10. Pawns.app
Pawns.app is another platform you can use to earn money with internet sharing, although it also features surveys, games, daily quests, and a few other ways to earn.

Pawns.app is currently offering a $3 free bonus when you sign up. This amount will be spread out over your first two withdrawals. The platform adds $1 to your balance initially and then adds another $1 to your first withdrawal; finally, it adds another $1 to your second withdrawal.
You need only $5 to cash out with this app, and you can withdraw via PayPal, electronic transfer (ACH), Venmo, Visa, or Bitcoin. 3 As you’ll only need to earn a few dollars to reach the minimum payout threshold, you may be able to cash out the same day you sign up with Pawns.app.
11. MobileXpression

The MobileXpression signup bonus isn’t quite instant, but takes only a week to come through, so it’s pretty fast. MobileXpression guarantees that all new members with eligible devices will get a free $5 Amazon gift card after using the platform for a week.
Apps and websites for shopping and cashback
Use these apps and websites to get cash back and gift cards by scanning receipts and shopping online.
For most of the signup bonuses on offer, you’ll have to spend a certain amount of cash to qualify, so it’s best to choose offers that align with purchases you’re already planning to make.
12. Fetch Rewards
Founded in 2013, Fetch Rewards is a popular receipt-scanning app you can use to earn gift cards from popular brands like Amazon and Target. The app also features games, with the website estimating that you can earn 3,000 points a week playing these. 4

Fetch Rewards says that rewards redemption has a 72-hour processing period. 6
At the time of writing (May 2025), Fetch Rewards is offering a $3 gift card for new users.

Ibotta has welcome bonuses, but you have to actually use the app by redeeming a certain number of offers to qualify for these. The welcome bonuses change regularly, so check out the “Bonuses” page in the app after you sign up to find out which ones you can get.
Reportedly, you can expect to receive a bonus of a few dollars. Some sources suggest that you can sometimes get as much as $20. However, we haven’t managed to confirm that, and other anecdotal reports claim that it’s misleading and that Ibotta bonuses are always less.
Unfortunately, the withdrawal threshold for this particular app is on the higher side, as you have to accumulate $20 worth of rewards to cash out. As such, it might take longer for you to reach the finish line compared with for some other platforms on our list.
14. Receipt Hog
Receipt Hog joins the ranks of our receipt-scanning apps, this time dating back to 2011. You can use it to scan paper or digital receipts and earn rewards. You can also sometimes earn extra rewards by taking surveys and completing a few other small tasks.

One perk of this app is that it rewards spending with small local businesses, like bodegas or your neighborhood grocery store, along with the big-name brands featured on other apps.
Receipt Hog says it will give you a bonus to connect your email account to your Receipt Hog account, although the information they provide about the bonus amount is confusing, as it’s not clear whether the bonus is worth 36 coins or 100 coins (or if you will receive both amounts).
Since every Receipt Hog coin is worth roughly half a cent, the bonus will be equivalent to less than a dollar. The platform also promises free sweepstakes entries for users who connect their email accounts.
Once you’ve earned at least $5 worth of Receipt Hog rewards (1,000 coins), you can cash out (via PayPal, Visa, or Amazon e-gift cards).
15. Upromise
Upromise is another platform from Prodege (which runs InboxDollars, MyPoints, and Swagbucks). However, it’s a slightly different type of cashback rewards platform, as it’s designed to help families save for college.

Then, when you shop through the Upromise portal, visit participating restaurants, or use a linked card at partner retailers, you’ll earn cash back rewards on your purchases.
Upromise also has other earning opportunities, including surveys and games.
Currently, you can get a bonus of $5.29 when you verify your email on Upromise. Even better, you’ll get another $25 when you link your Upromise account with any financial account.
The amount you’ll need to transfer money from your Upromise account to your financial account will vary depending on the number and type of accounts you have linked, but once you transfer, Upromise says that the money will usually take less than a week to reach you (although it could take longer for some types of accounts).
16. Rakuten
Formerly known as Ebates, Rakuten is one of the largest and oldest cashback apps out there. It partners with a variety of shops, including Nike, Adidas, Macy’s, and Target.

You can earn Rakuten rewards by shopping through Rakuten.com, the mobile app, or the browser extension. You can also link your credit cards to the platform to earn in-store cash.
Rakuten has a $20 signup bonus for new users who shop through their portal and make a qualifying purchase of $25+ within 90 days. In this sense, the signup bonus is more of a signup discount. However, it’s a very generous one, and definitely worth having if there’s a purchase you were already planning that you can make through their site.
Rakuten says it will send your first payment as soon as 15 days after your first purchase, so there will likely be a bit of a delay getting your signup bonus rewards. However, it shouldn’t take too long.
After the first payment, redemptions (via check, PayPal, or American Express rewards) happen automatically every three months, at the following times:
- February 15
- May 15
- August 15
- November 15
17. RebatesMe
RebatesMe is another cashback platform, but you need to use it by activating cashback through the app or website rather than by scanning receipts. You can also add the RebateMe Chrome extension to your browser, in which case you won’t need to click through via the app or website (and will also get updates on the company’s latest offers).

You can then cash out your signup bonus once you have $20 in payable cash in your account.
Once you’ve accumulated enough rewards, you can cash out via cash or gift cards, and BeFrugal says that they usually send payouts the next business day after you request a withdrawal.
Banking services and financial tools
The platforms and services on this list include financial tools that will reward new users for signing up and meeting some fairly achievable requirements.
Most of these platforms will take between a few days and a few weeks to pay your bonus, so they won’t normally give you the fastest payout. On the flipside, bonus amounts will usually be larger than for the other types of platforms we’ve seen so far; you can sometimes bag several hundred dollars or even more.
Get signup bonuses for banking services by finding referral links
Many banking services offer bonuses when you sign up with referral links. For example, you can get $100+ in bonuses from the digital banking service Chime when you sign up via referral codes, with more bonuses also available for referring your friends, in turn. If you don’t know any existing users of a banking service you have in mind, you may be able to find codes online.

Upgrade offers a $200 bonus when you open a Rewards Checking Plus account and use it to make three debit card transactions. 9
This is a great deal, but the downside is that the payment isn’t guaranteed to be fast. Upgrade says that it will pay the bonus into your Rewards Checking Plus account within 60 days after you fulfill the requirements (so you’ll have to make three debit card transactions first), although there’s a good chance the money will arrive sooner.

When you open a new SoFi Checking and Savings account online and use it to receive a direct deposit of at least $1,000, you can earn $50–$300 as a welcome bonus. The exact bonus amount you get will depend on the direct deposit amount you receive. 10
SoFi warns that setting up direct deposits can take 2–4 weeks (although it can, in theory, be much faster). Once the deposit payment materializes, your bonus will follow within roughly a month. 10
Investment platforms
Finally, we’ve found several investment platforms that offer bonus shares and cash for new users who sign up and fulfill certain requirements to qualify.
As with many banking and finance platforms, investment platforms like those on our list often have referral bonuses available when you sign up using a link from an existing customer, and you may be able to ferret out these links online.
Investment platforms often have bonuses available for referrals
Note that you’ll often need fairly large sums of money to get signup bonus offers on investment platforms, as these offers will often include conditions that require you to move hundreds or even thousands of dollars into a specific account.
If you already have existing investments or savings earmarked for investment, this can be a viable way to get free shares or cash.
23. Robinhood

When you sign up with Robinhood, you can get a bonus comprising free shares (which you can pick from a list of America’s 20 leading companies) when you link your bank account or debit card and transfer funds to your new investment account (although they don’t specify whether a minimum transfer amount applies).
Robinhood says the bonus amount will be equivalent to “a specified dollar amount anywhere between $5 and $200” and that approximately 99% of customers will get stock worth $5.
You’ll have to manually claim your Robinhood bonus
Robinhood says you have to claim your bonus within 60 days. After that, if you want to sell your stocks to get cash, you must wait at least three days. Then, you must wait another 30 days to withdraw the cash from your Robinhood account.
24. Public

The Public welcome bonus will usually be better than Robinhood’s, though. At the time of writing (May 2025), Public offers a cash bonus of $150–$10,000 to new users when they open an account and fund it with $5,000–$5,000,000. The exact amount of the bonus will depend on the amount you put in your account (with larger bonuses for larger investments).
Public says that it will pay the cash bonus within a month after the transfer, and there are also some other important terms and conditions to consider. Notably, you need to keep the money you transferred in your Public account for at least five years, otherwise they say they will revoke the bonus.
Although this signup bonus promotion isn’t set in stone, Public will likely follow up with similar offers to entice new users away from other, more popular trading and investment platforms.

The platform offers you a $20 bonus when you sign up as a new user and make your first successful Recurring Investment into an Acorns Invest account (where a Recurring Investment is a scheduled deposit into an Acorns Invest account; e.g., a recurring payment of $5 per day, week, or month). The Recurring Investment must be at least $5 for you to get the $20 bonus.
The bonus will be in the form of Reward Shares invested into your account, where Reward Shares are fractions of ETF shares or stocks (i.e., investments that group lots of companies together and give you a mix of stocks or other assets combined, helping to spread risk).
However, if you want to turn your shares into cash, it could be a few weeks before you get your hands on the money. Acorns says that they credit the $20 bonus to your account within 10 days of the following month after you make your first successful recurring investment. 11 After that, you can withdraw the money, which Acorns says will take 3–6 days. 12
03. Tips for instant signup bonus offers
Check out these tips to earn more with instant signup bonus offers—and avoid some common pitfalls associated with them:
- Check minimum payout thresholds: Some offers require you to earn a certain amount before you can cash out your rewards, so make sure this amount is achievable.
- Read the terms: In addition to minimum earnings thresholds, there may be other criteria you need to fulfill to qualify for signup bonus offers (e.g., using a platform or service in a specific way). Check the rules and deadlines associated with an offer before you sign up.
- Don’t overspend just to qualify: Choose the signup bonus apps that match your lifestyle best and have realistic requirements. The goal is to earn bonuses through purchases you were already planning to make rather than spending additional money.
- Don’t forget to use welcome bonus links or codes: Many platforms only offer signup bonuses if you use a special link or promo code, so don’t skip this step.
- Look for referral links or codes: Many platforms on this list also have offers for new users who use referral links or codes from existing users. These referral bonuses are often worthwhile, and you may be able to find them online if you don’t already know someone who uses the service in question. Note that additional requirements may sometimes apply for you to qualify for these bonuses.
Whether you’re looking to save on everyday purchases, earn rewards for scanning receipts, or get paid for signing up to a new service, instant signup bonus offers can be an easy way to earn a bit extra.
