OpinionInn is a platform you can use to earn money by completing surveys. It doesn’t have games, videos, offer signups, or other nonsurvey microtasks like those you can find on InboxDollars or Freecash.

However, OpinionInn has one of the best signup bonuses we’ve seen, as you’re guaranteed $10 in rewards when you join as a new user.

Unfortunately, you’ll need to reach a relatively high minimum threshold compared with many similar GPT and microtasking platforms, as you’ll need $25 worth of rewards before you can withdraw anything.

Once you reach this slightly daunting threshold, you can redeem your rewards as cash in your PayPal account.

This platform is similar to OpinionInn in that it focuses just on surveys, with no other types of microtasks available.

If you’re happy to earn with surveys, you can get a $5 signup bonus when you confirm your email on PointClub. As with OpinionInn, you’ll then need to rack up at least $25 worth of rewards (25,000 points) to redeem.

The first time you cash out on PointClub, you must do so via a check that they mail to you (meaning that this process will probably take at least a few days). However, compared with InboxDollars, MyPoints offers a smaller signup bonus, as they only give you $2 when you join the site.

Swagbucks is yet another platform from the same company that runs InboxDollars and MyPoints (Prodege). Like these platforms, it features a giddying array of different tasks you can complete to earn rewards, including surveys, games, offer signups, and more.

As with the other Prodege platforms, Swagbucks allows you to redeem rewards in the form of PayPal cash, virtual prepaid cards, or gift cards.

Swagbucks says that, when you join the platform, you get a $5 sign-up bonus plus a $10 “Swag Up.” 3 This Swag Up is a bonus you get when you spend at least $25 purchasing something via Swagbucks, so it’s more like a discount than a real bonus.

When we used Swagbucks, we only received $2.50 worth of bonus rewards during the signup process, so Swagbucks may not have the same welcome bonuses it previously offered any longer.

Founded in 2013, Fetch Rewards is a popular receipt-scanning app you can use to earn gift cards from popular brands like Amazon and Target. The app also features games, with the website estimating that you can earn 3,000 points a week playing these. 4

Fetch Rewards point values vary based on the gift card you want, but the website states that 1,000 points are worth around $1. 5 You can cash out your first batch of rewards once you’ve earned at least 10,000 Fetch Points (worth $10). Fetch Rewards says that rewards redemption has a 72-hour processing period. 6

Fetch Rewards is currently offering a $3 gift card for new users.

Ibotta is another receipt-scanning and cashback rewards app, this time founded in 2012.

Ibotta is worth it for the welcome bonuses alone, but you have to actually use the app by redeeming a certain number of offers to qualify for these. The welcome bonuses change regularly, so check out the “Bonuses” page in the app after you sign up to find out which ones you can get.

Reportedly, you can expect to receive a bonus of a few dollars. Some sources suggest that you can sometimes get as much as $20. However, we haven’t managed to confirm that, and other anecdotal reports claim that it’s misleading and that Ibotta bonuses are always less.

Unfortunately, the withdrawal threshold for this particular app is on the higher side, as you have to accumulate $20 worth of rewards to cash out. As such, it might take longer for you to reach the finish line compared with for some other platforms on our list.

Receipt Hog joins the ranks of our receipt-scanning apps, this time dating back to 2011. You can use it to scan paper or digital receipts and earn rewards. You can also sometimes earn extra rewards by taking surveys and completing a few other small tasks.

One perk of this app is that it rewards spending with small local businesses, like bodegas or your neighborhood grocery store, along with the big-name brands featured on other apps.

Receipt Hog says it will give you a bonus to connect your email account to your Receipt Hog account, although the information they provide about the bonus amount is confusing, as it’s not clear whether the bonus is worth 36 coins or 100 coins (or if you will receive both amounts).

Since every Receipt Hog coin is worth roughly half a cent, the bonus will be equivalent to less than a dollar. The platform also promises free sweepstakes entries for users who connect their email accounts.

Once you’ve earned at least $5 worth of Receipt Hog rewards (1,000 coins), you can cash out (via PayPal, Visa, or Amazon e-gift cards).

Upromise is another platform from Prodege (which runs InboxDollars, MyPoints, and Swagbucks). However, it’s a slightly different type of cashback rewards platform, as it’s designed to help families save for college.

Once you sign up for Upromise, you can link a 529 college savings plan, student loan account, or regular bank account to your Upromise account. Then, when you shop through the Upromise portal, visit participating restaurants, or use a linked card at partner retailers, you’ll earn cash back rewards on your purchases.

Upromise also has other earning opportunities, including surveys and games.

Currently, you can get a bonus of $5.29 when you verify your email on Upromise. Even better, you’ll get another $25 when you link your Upromise account with any financial account.

The amount you’ll need to transfer money from your Upromise account to your financial account will vary depending on the number and type of accounts you have linked, but once you transfer, Upromise says that the money will usually take less than a week to reach you (although it could take longer for some types of accounts).

Formerly known as Ebates, Rakuten is one of the largest and oldest cashback apps out there. It partners with a variety of shops, including Nike, Adidas, Macy’s, and Target.

You can earn Rakuten rewards by shopping through Rakuten.com, the mobile app, or the browser extension. You can also link your credit cards to the platform to earn in-store cash.

Rakuten has a $20 signup bonus for new users who shop through their portal and make a qualifying purchase of $25+ within 90 days. In this sense, the signup bonus is more of a signup discount. However, it’s a very generous one, and definitely worth having if there’s a purchase you were already planning that you can make through their site.

Rakuten says it will send your first payment as soon as 15 days after your first purchase, so there will likely be a bit of a delay getting your signup bonus rewards. However, it shouldn’t take too long.

After the first payment, redemptions (via check, PayPal, or American Express rewards) happen automatically every three months, at the following times:

RebatesMe is another cashback platform, but you need to use it by activating cashback through the app or website rather than by scanning receipts. You can also add the RebateMe Chrome extension to your browser, in which case you won’t need to click through via the app or website (and will also get updates on the company’s latest offers).

RebatesMe offers a $5 signup bonus when you spend $15 on qualifying purchases within 30 days.

You’ll need at least $10 worth of rewards to redeem on RebatesMe, and you’ll then be able to cash out via cash (with PayPal, debit or credit card, or check) or gift cards. The fastest way to cash out is via a gift card, as these reach you within 24 hours.7

BeFrugal is, as the name suggests, a website focused on frugal living. It promises cash back, coupons, deals, bargains, and web-based tools to help you save money. It works similarly to RebatesMe: You earn rewards from your purchases by clicking through via its links or using the browser extension before shopping at partner retailers.

BeFrugal also has a generous bonus of $10 for new signups. According to the BeFrugal website, you can only qualify if you earn at least $20 in cash back by making eligible purchases (within one year of joining). You can then cash out your signup bonus once you have $20 in payable cash in your account.

Once you’ve accumulated enough rewards, you can cash out via cash or gift cards, and BeFrugal says that they usually send payouts the next business day after you request a withdrawal.

Current is a fintech company offering mobile banking services for everyday use (although it isn’t technically a bank). It’s geared toward users with lower credit scores and lower incomes, and offers checking accounts, credit-building features, cryptocurrency trading, and other financial tools.

It also offers a $50 bonus for new users who sign up for an account (using the promo code on the Current website) and use their account to receive a qualifying direct deposit, which they must do within 45 days. The deposit must be at least $200 to be eligible.

Once you sign up and receive your first qualifying direct deposit, Current says it will send the $50 bonus within 10 business days. 8

Note that many banking and financial platforms, like Current, will take between a few days and a few weeks to pay your bonus, so they won’t normally give you the fastest payout. On the flipside, bonus amounts will usually be larger than for the other types of platforms we’ve seen so far; you can sometimes bag several hundred dollars or even more.

Upgrade Rewards Checking Plus is an online checking account offered by Upgrade, a fintech that provides digital banking and credit products. The Upgrade Rewards Checking Plus account comes with cashback rewards and other financial benefits for users.

Upgrade offers a $200 bonus when you open a Rewards Checking Plus account and use it to make three debit card transactions. 9

This is a great deal, but the downside is that the payment isn’t guaranteed to be fast. Upgrade says that it will pay the bonus into your Rewards Checking Plus account within 60 days after you fulfill the requirements (so you’ll have to make three debit card transactions first), although there’s a good chance the money will arrive sooner.

Walmart OnePay Wallet is a digital wallet specifically for use at Walmart (in Walmart stores, on the store website, or within the app). It’s designed to streamline payments and offer rewards for shoppers, with these rewards including a welcome bonus.

When you spend $15 or more at Walmart after getting Walmart OnePay Wallet, you’ll get $15 in cashback points, which you can spend at Walmart (again, including online and offline stores). There are also ways to turn your cashback points into cash.

SoFi is an online financial company that offers a range of services, from student loan refinancing and personal loans to banking, investing, and credit card products.

When you open a new SoFi Checking and Savings account online and use it to receive a direct deposit of at least $1,000, you can earn $50–$300 as a welcome bonus. The exact bonus amount you get will depend on the direct deposit amount you receive. 10

SoFi warns that setting up direct deposits can take 2–4 weeks (although it can, in theory, be much faster). Once the deposit payment materializes, your bonus will follow within roughly a month. 10

Robinhood is a popular financial services platform and mobile app that allows users to invest in stocks, shares, equities, ETFs, indexes, options, cryptocurrencies, and other types of investments. It’s a very beginner-friendly way to get started with investing.

When you sign up with Robinhood, you can get a bonus comprising free shares (which you can pick from a list of America’s 20 leading companies) when you link your bank account or debit card and transfer funds to your new investment account (although they don’t specify whether a minimum transfer amount applies).

Robinhood says that the value of the bonus stock will be equivalent to “a specified dollar amount anywhere between $5 and $200” and that approximately 99% of customers will get stock worth $5.

Note that you’ll often need fairly large sums of money to get signup bonus offers on investment platforms, as these offers will often include conditions that require you to move hundreds or even thousands of dollars into a specific account.

If you already have existing investments or savings earmarked for investment, this can be a viable way to get free shares or cash.

Public is a stock trading and investing platform similar to Robinhood. It allows users to buy and trade stocks, bonds, options, crypto, ETFs, treasuries, and more.

The Public welcome bonus will usually be better than Robinhood’s, though. For instance, in early 2025, they had a promotion offering a cash bonus of $150–$10,000 to new users when they opened an account and funded it with $5,000–$5,000,000. The exact amount of the bonus depended on the amount you put in your account (with larger bonuses for larger investments).

Although that signup bonus promotion wasn’t set in stone, Public might follow up with similar offers in the future to entice new users away from other, more popular trading and investment platforms.

Finally, Acorns is a fintech app built on the principles of “micro investing,” which is a way of investing in small increments by buying fractions of shares.

The platform currently offers a $25 bonus when you sign up as a new user and make your first successful Recurring Investment into an Acorns Invest account (where a Recurring Investment is a scheduled deposit into an Acorns Invest account; e.g., a recurring payment of $5 per day, week, or month). The Recurring Investment must be at least $5 for you to get the $25 bonus.
