It’s no secret that money in relationships can often cause conflict, but just how many of us are arguing about it? In 2023, the finance wellness company Stackin surveyed 1,255 people in the US to find out how their bank accounts were affecting their relationships.
Of the people they surveyed, those in committed relationships were in significantly better financial shape, having an average of $19,865 in savings, while those who were not in relationships only had $14,377 on average stashed away. Despite this, many people reported that financial issues frequently led to relationship problems.
