About Me
Alyson Slack has been writing grants for 15 years, primarily on topics related to economic development. She has secured over $90 million in grant funds for nonprofit and local government clients during her career. She is experienced in developing proposals for submission to US federal agencies, including the US Departments of Commerce, Defense, Energy, and Education, the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Economic Development Administration, as well as a variety of state agencies in New York and South Carolina and assorted philanthropic foundations. Alyson has master’s and bachelor’s degrees in international economic policy from American University. In addition to her economic development career, she also works as a freelance violinist.
