Job Description
Job Title: Zumba® Instructor at Speer YMCA
Description: Seeking an energetic and passionate Zumba® Instructor to lead engaging group fitness classes. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and inclusive environment, motivate participants of all fitness levels, and deliver high-quality, safe, and fun workouts that align with YMCA standards.
Duties:
- Lead dynamic and safe Zumba® classes for members of varying fitness levels
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating class environment
- Build strong relationships with members and encourage ongoing participation
- Arrive prepared with structured class plans and appropriate music
- Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
- Provide modifications and support to accommodate different abilities
- Represent the YMCA's mission and values in all interactions
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current Zumba® Instructor Certification required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to connect with and engage diverse populations
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and inspire others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen
- Must successfully complete a Level 2 background check*
Pay & Perks: Part-time, $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Free individual YMCA membership and discount for household family members.
