About the Role

We are looking for a YouTube Growth Strategist to own the growth of Biohacking Beauty, our video podcast. Hosted by our two co-founders, the show lives on YouTube and is distributed as audio on podcast platforms, with YouTube serving as its primary growth engine. Our founders bring the expertise and conversations; your role is to turn that expertise into a channel people discover, watch, and come back to. You'll own the strategy behind how each episode is packaged, published, and optimized, directing our editing and creative resources to maximize audience growth and retention. Success in this role means consistently growing the audience of Biohacking Beauty by improving discoverability, click-through rate, viewer retention, and overall channel performance. We value growth that builds on our existing foundation, strengthening trust with our current audience while expanding our reach to new viewers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Own the growth strategy for Young Goose's podcast and YouTube channels, using performance data to guide decisions.

• Identify content opportunities, trends, and topics that drive audience growth and long-term engagement.

• Optimize titles, thumbnails, hooks, and overall content packaging to maximize reach and retention while maintaining our brand identity and scientific integrity. 

• Analyze channel performance and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Own the publishing strategy for every episode, from planning and packaging to distribution across YouTube and podcast platforms.

• Direct editors and creative resources throughout the production process, providing clear feedback and ensuring every episode is optimized before publication.

• Stay ahead of changes in the YouTube and podcast ecosystem, bringing new ideas and best practices to continually improve performance.

Who You Are

• Proven experience growing a YouTube channel, with results you can point to.

• A deep understanding of the YouTube ecosystem: packaging, hooks, retention, and how the algorithm rewards them.

• Fluent in reading channel analytics and turning them into clear decisions.

• Comfortable directing editors and creative resources rather than doing the editing yourself.

• Self-directed and low maintenance, able to own the channel without handholding.

• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to give clear, actionable feedback to editors and creative teams.

• Comfortable working with founders as on camera talent.
