Youth Sports (Instructors & Game Officials and Site Supervisors) - Part-time

Do you have a passion for sports and working with kids?

As a Sports Instructor & Game Official, you will have the opportunity to engage and educate children while helping them develop their athletic skills and love for sports. This position provides program instruction and game officiating that promotes teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship for all participants and spectators.

As a Site Supervisor you are responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of youth sports programs, including staff oversight, participant safety, customer service, and program execution. The successful candidate will lead by example, support coaches and officials, and help create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

SCHEDULE: 

Part-Time

• Monday through Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Additional hours may be available based on program needs

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  This position will provide program instruction or game officiating that promotes teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship for all participants and spectators. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of program specific sport/game skills and rules, preferred.
• Experience coaching or instructing children ages 4 – 17, preferred.
• Certifications that must be obtained and maintained within first 90 days:  CPR, AED , First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position; including leading classes, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.  Individuals in this position may be subject to all elements of weather and loud facilities.
