Be responsible for ensuring the safety of all children and participants under their care in a Y program. We aim to create genuine connection with all our program participants, members, and nonmembers. Teach kids new skills and help them build confidence and have fun. Exemplify our mission statement of strengthening healthy minds, bodies, and spirits.
Responsibilities:
Complete lesson plans or know where the program lesson plans can be found
Instruct skills in a logical and age-appropriate manner. Be able to switch when you see something needs to be adjusted.
Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Qualifications: Qualifications
Strong knowledge and background in youth activities, sports, and fitness. Know how to appropriately communicate and interact with children, parents, and staff.
