Job Description
YOUTH MINISTRY RESIDENT CANDIDATE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and teachable young leader to help the students of Keystone and our community know and follow Jesus. The Candidate would be someone who is a devoted follower of Christ with a deep love and passion for reaching the next generation. Further, you are not intimidated by the fast-paced environment of a growing church but are energized by the opportunity to grow in your education while being engaged in meaningful next generation ministry. In general, you geek-out about Jesus and investing in students.
CURRENT YOUTH MINISTRY
The city of Ankeny is home to over 6,300 middle school and high school students and growing rapidly and the majority of these students remain uninvolved in any gospel ministry. We are passionate about helping these students know and follow Jesus through creating an environment where students belong in authentic community, believe the life-changing power of the gospel, and become who God created them to be. Each year we have seen students following Jesus in salvation & baptism, learning to walk in confession and actively sharing their faith! God is on the move at Keystone Youth!
KEYSTONE CHURCH
Keystone Church of Ankeny is a dynamically growing church in the fast-growing city of Ankeny, Iowa (a northern Suburb of Des Moines). We are a 12-year-old church averaging around 1,800 on Sunday morning. We are elder led, preach through books of the Bible, and take our mission to help people know and follow Jesus very seriously.
We're just regular folks God turned into His children by the power of the risen Christ. That transformation is why we love each other. We're delighted to be a part of an association of independent churches called the Evangelical Free Church of America, but we are first and foremost members of the worldwide fraternity of Christians Christ simply called, "the Church".
Mission Statement
To love Jesus Christ and spur others toward the life in Him.
Any church mission statement must include the great commission and the great commandment. But neither matter much to the person whose own relationship with Jesus Christ has soured. So we made keeping it healthy as the first priority: “…to love Jesus Christ…” People in love with Jesus will carry out Jesus’ Great Commission of Matthew 28:19: So go and make followers of all people in the world (New Century Version). Making followers of Christ requires both drawing people to Jesus as well as helping them to grow in their love and service. And since growing should never end, we “spur” each other on until we go Home (Hebrews 10:24).

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31)
