Job Description
Chess Club for Kids Instructor
We're looking for an enthusiastic instructor to lead our Chess Club for Kids program for students in 5th–9th grade. Instructors will create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment while teaching chess fundamentals, strategy, critical thinking, and good sportsmanship through interactive lessons and friendly gameplay.
Responsibilities include introducing new concepts, guiding students through practice matches and chess puzzles, encouraging teamwork and strategic problem-solving, organizing fun challenges or mini tournaments, and ensuring all participants feel included regardless of experience level. The ideal candidate enjoys working with youth, communicates clearly, and can adapt instruction to accommodate a variety of skill levels.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about chess and enjoy helping students build confidence, concentration, and decision-making skills in a positive and encouraging setting.
