Union Fitness is a welcoming, community-focused fitness facility committed to helping people become healthier, stronger, and more confident. Our instructors play an important role in creating an inclusive

environment where members of all backgrounds and fitness levels feel comfortable participating, progressing, and coming back.

We're looking for knowledgeable, engaging yoga instructors who can deliver safe, high-quality classes while building genuine connections with our members. This position is for an Independent Contractor.

Primary Job Functions

• Lead engaging, safe, and thoughtfully programmed yoga classes appropriate for a range of experience and fitness levels.

• Welcome new and returning participants, introduce yourself, and help members feel comfortable in the class and facility.

• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, progressions, regressions, and modifications based on participants' abilities and needs.

• Develop class programming that is purposeful, varied, and appropriate for the class format and Union Fitness community.

• Educate participants on movement, mobility, recovery, and other relevant health and fitness concepts within the instructor's scope of practice.

• Build relationships with participants and help create a positive, inclusive community that encourages continued participation.

• Begin and end classes on time and arrive prepared with sufficient time to set up the space.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe class environment and encourage participants to follow appropriate gym etiquette.

• Identify and report equipment, facilities, or safety concerns to Union Fitness staff.
• Understand and professionally reinforce Union Fitness policies and facility expectations.
• Become familiar with Union Fitness programs and services so you can appropriately connect members with additional resources that may support their goals.

• Communicate proactively regarding scheduling and assist with substitute coverage when available.

Qualifications

• Current RYT-200 certification or higher
• CPR/AED certified
• Maintains Personal Professional Liability Insurance 

Requirements:

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to confidently teach and connect with participants across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels.

• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to the Union Fitness community and representing the organization professionally.
