Summary
The Yard Maintenance Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all equipment and attachments entering or leaving the dealership yard. They also perform inventory counts, maintain equipment fuel levels, and ensure all machinery is properly photographed and recorded.

Yard Maintenance Technician
Position Specifics:
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager or Shop Foreman
Supervises: None
Job Status: Part Time/Non- Exempt
Purpose:
Receives all equipment, attachments and parts delivered to dealership. Performs RECORD 360 documentation of all equipment and attachments being received or shipped out for Rent, Demo or Sale. May require some direction or guidance from the Sales Manager, Service Manager, Shop Foreman and Parts Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Verify and maintain all equipment arriving and/or departing equipment yard and document activities accordingly.
- Load and unload equipment and attachments, conduct, inspect, and report the condition of the equipment.
- Provide daily notifications for all inventory items leaving and/or returning the equipment yard through the Shipping and Receiving function.
- Photograph all incoming and/or outgoing machines and Upload pictures as outlined in accordance to the photo support point guideline.
- Maintain equipment with fuel as required and document consumed through the shipping and receiving function.
- Perform and conduct inventory counts of machines and attachments.
- Perform related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be able to work alone or with others and have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
- Stable work history, safe work habits and ability to meet work deadlines required
- Computer literacy, ability to operate fax and scanning equipment, and ability to operate heavy equipment required
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

Today, the Ag & Turf Division, with 8 locations in Southwest Georgia, and the Power Systems Division, still covering the Southeastern US and Caribbean, are held under the brand name Flint. The long and noteworthy history of John Deere and Flint is testament to the continued belief that good customers and good employees are the power that drives the company.
