Winter 26/27: Barback

Job Details: Job Location: Killington Resort - Killington, VT, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal, Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.85, Job Category: Food & Beverage, Compensation and Benefits:  

Compensation: Hourly wage, actual wage adjusted based on experience 
Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available 

Job Summary: 

The barback works closely with bartenders and ensures that they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for keeping the bar clean, stocked, and running smoothly.   

Summary of Key Responsibilities:  

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:  

Assist bartenders with bar set up and break down 
Refill ice wells 
Switch out kegs 
Keep bar stocked with liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, etc. 
Anticipate bartender needs and restock items before they are out 
Ensure glassware and bartending tools are clean and in the proper place 
Ensure cleanliness- take out trash, mop spills, wipe down surfaces, etc. 
Perform other tasks as assigned 

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:  

Must be at least 21 years old 
Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant preferred 
Ability to stand for long periods of time  
Must be able to lift 50lbs. consistently 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Must be able to work in fast paced, high volume atmosphere 
Must be extremely organized 
Must have excellent customer service skills
