Do you love sports and enjoy working with kids? B.E.S.T. is looking for enthusiastic, reliable coaches to lead fun and engaging youth sports classes in Costa Mesa, CA.

Our instructors work with young athletes through age-appropriate activities, games, and skill-building exercises. You don’t need to be a professional athlete — we’re looking for people who are energetic, dependable, comfortable leading groups of children, and excited to create a positive experience for every participant.

What You’ll Do

• Lead youth sports classes on Saturdays and Sundays using B.E.S.T. lesson plans and activities. 
• Teach basic sports skills through games, drills, and hands-on instruction to kids between the Ages of 2-12.
• Keep children engaged, active, and involved throughout each class.
• Create a welcoming and encouraging environment for athletes of different ages and ability levels.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and other coaches.
• Arrive prepared and on time for every scheduled class.
• Set up, use, and put away sports equipment the day of classes.
• Adjust activities when necessary based on the group, facility, weather, or class size.

Requirements

Previous coaching or teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience working with children, playing sports, coaching, childcare, education, or recreation is helpful. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and instruct sports classes, camps, and/or clinics for children ages 18 months to 12 years.
• Implement and follow B.E.S.T. lesson plans and coaching techniques.
• Maintain a fun, positive, and supportive learning environment.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all participants at all times.
• Set up, organize, and break down equipment as needed before and after classes.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, teammates, and supervisors.
• Complete required class check-ins, reporting, and attendance tracking.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Represent B.E.S.T. values and uphold a high standard of customer service.
• Must be able to lift and carry sports equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Must have a valid drivers license and personal vehicle
