Weekend Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) | $5.00/Hour Incentive

BrightStar Care Louisville has an immediate need for Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for Weekend Only (WOW) shifts in the Louisville, KY area. Full-time and part-time weekend shifts are available, including Saturday & Sunday, 7 AM–7 PM or Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7 PM–7 AM (overnights/3rd shift).

Hourly Pay:

• RN: $32–$38/hour + $5/hour WOW Incentive
• LPN: $25–$30/hour + $5/hour WOW Incentive

The $5/hour WOW Incentive is added to the regular base pay for eligible weekend shifts. Minimum 24 weekend hours required for eligibility.

Requirements:

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred 
• Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

• Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
• Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
• Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills needed

Salary: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour (Licensed Practical Nurse $25-30) & (Registered Nurse $32-38).  Note: compensation may vary based on skill, experience and location. 

Standard Weekend shift:

• Day Shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift (3rd shift)

Weekly schedule:

• Friday Overnight 7PM-7AM
• Saturday 7AM -7PM
• Saturday Overnight 7PM-7AM
• Sunday 7AM-7PM
• Sunday Overnight 7PM-7AM

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Louisville, KY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN (Required)
• LPN (Required)
