The partner will co-design water-sector education activities and career pathways for students in collaboration with educational institutions. They will also contribute to workforce intelligence research, reports, and operational labor analysis.
Job Description
WIL partners with educators and institutions to build water-sector career awareness and education pathways for elementary, secondary, and postsecondary students. We are seeking education partners who can co-develop curriculum exposure, career exploration, dual-enrollment / bridge experiences, or student work-based learning tied to water careers.
What you'll do
- Represent a school district, community college, university, or education nonprofit with water-career programming capacity
- Co-design education activities (modules, camps, career days, dual credit, or lab experiences)
- Identify student populations and delivery geography
- Support partnership documentation for joint education/workforce proposals when agreed
- Advise on learning outcomes and measurement appropriate to education settings
- Required
- Role at a K–12 LEA, community college, university, or education nonprofit
- Experience delivering STEM/CTE career education, water/environmental education, or work-based learning
- Ability to discuss institutional partnership pathways
- Willingness to engage on a time-bounded collaborator basis
- Authorization to work with a U.S. nonprofit research organizationNice to have
- Existing water/wastewater industry advisory relationships
- Dual-enrollment or pre-apprenticeship bridges already operating
- Rural, tribal, or underserved student reach
What fellows receive

- build portfolio-quality workforce intelligence projects
- collaborate on workforce intelligence dashboards and operational labor analysis
- participate in workforce intelligence discussions with industry operators and advisors
As WIL expands, fellows may also have opportunities to participate in:
- expanded research collaborations
- advisory initiatives
- future grant-supported projects
- workforce intelligence publications and presentations
