Warehouse and Mailroom Coordinator

Job Details: Job Location: RI Prov HQ General - Providence, RI, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.50Hourly, Job Shift: 1st Shift, Job Category: Facilities/Building Services, Schedule:  Monday-Friday 12pm-4pm (Part-time)

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for managing the daily receipt and distribution of incoming mail and packages. Duties include picking up mail from the post office, sorting it efficiently, and ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate departments. The position also involves receiving shipments from various carriers such as United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), and other vendors. Each delivery is carefully inspected for accuracy and completeness, with special attention given to high-priority or sensitive items. These shipments are then securely routed to their designated recipients, maintaining a high standard of organization and confidentiality throughout the process. Maintain a safe, organized workspace and warehouse environment while ensuring accurate inventory management of shipping materials, printers, and registry supplies. This role plays a vital part in supporting smooth internal operations and ensuring that critical communications and materials are handled with care and precision.

Compensation:  The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50 / hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, shift differentials and experience. Annual bonuses are offered to employees and certain roles are eligible to earn additional forms of compensation through monthly and/or quarterly incentives. What you will do:

Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) standards by following department protocols to ensure safe package handling. Work with management and distributors to rectify issues
Utilize Qtrak to record the receiving and delivery of packages. Also utilize for tracking outgoing packages that are picked up by FEDEX, UPS and all vendors
Verify and receive all packing slips into Workday for processing
Fill supply orders for internal departments and satellite locations. Send out supplies and mail using United Parcel Servies or the United States Postal Service.
Maintain a safe and organized workspace and warehouse. Report to the Supervisor all accidents, injuries or unsafe working conditions immediately
Maintain accurate inventory for shipping material, printers and registry supplies
Operate an electric and manual pallet jack, hand truck and forklift

Qualifications: What You Will Need

High School Diploma or GED required
1-2 years previous experience in post office or similar role preferred
