Position Summary:
As a BMD Assistant, you will assist voters with the use of Ballot Marking Devices (BMDs), conduct hourly seal audits, and work with the Troubleshooter to identify and resolve any device errors. You will also assist Computer Processors, file combination forms and signature cards, and perform other duties as directed. This position requires completion of BMD Assistant Training and a Simulation course, as well as the ability to work 12 or more hours on Election Day.
Job Description:
- Assist voters with the use of BMD devices
- Conduct hourly BMD seal audits
- Work with the Troubleshooter to identify and resolve any errors on the BMD
- Assist Computer Processors
- File combo forms/signature cards
- Able to work 12+ hours Election Day
- Attend BMD Assistant Training
- Attend Simulation course
- Other duties as directed

Training Date: September 25, 2026 - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Weeks of Sims: October 6, 2026 - October 14, 2026 (This will depend on which site you are assigned to and what day your simulation will be on. All Sims and training will be conducted at the Adams County Government Center.)
Equipment Delivery Date: October 28th, 2026
Working Date Range: October 28, 2026 - November 4, 2026
