What if 10–12 hours a week could make a lasting difference in a young person’s life?

Waypoint’s Transitional Living Program is looking for a Live-In House Mentor to provide encouragement, connection, and positive mentorship to young adults ages 18–21.

In exchange for an average of 10–12 hours of volunteer support each week, you’ll receive a rent-free room in our Dover home.

This is an opportunity to be a steady, positive presence for young adults as they build independence, develop life skills, navigate challenges, and work toward their goals.

You’ll have the opportunity to:
✨ Build meaningful relationships with young adults
✨ Create a welcoming and positive home environment
✨ Host fun, pro-social activities based on residents’ interests
✨ Encourage independence, life skills, and healthy routines
✨ Help navigate challenges and support positive problem-solving
✨ Be part of a supportive Waypoint team

You don’t have to have all the answers. We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, open-minded, able to maintain healthy boundaries, and genuinely believes in the potential of young people.

🎓 Graduate students are especially encouraged to apply! Professional or personal experience with youth is a plus, but a passion for making a difference matters most.

Minimum 6–12 month commitment
Must be 21+
$150 quarterly stipend when responsibilities are met
Ongoing training, support, and supervision provided
